Play with us

We play for fun, not for points. Six tables are set up each morning, mostly for doubles, with singles when a table is free. Players rotate tables after each game, so you meet everyone over a morning.

There is a coffee break about 11am and plenty of talk between games. Stay for an hour or the whole session. All abilities are welcome, from people who last played in a garage decades ago to former competition players.

About 20 of us play each morning and there is room for more.

About the club

Boroondara Keenagers Table Tennis Club Inc. is a member-run club. Most members are retired, and players of any age are welcome. The Keenagers idea started in Victoria in 2001; our club has been playing in Boroondara for about twenty years, first at Hawthorn and now at Balwyn North, and became an incorporated association in 2018.

A City of Boroondara Community Strengthening Grant replaced our three oldest tables. Council made this short film about the club at the time.

Committee

President, Secretary and Treasurer, plus three general committee members, elected each October at the annual general meeting. New members are always welcome to help with set-up before a session.
